To shot or not to shot...

Everyone is flu shot crazy. Now everyone is swine flu shot crazy. Alright, maybe not EVERYone. But the TV media certainly is. The government is pressing the fear button at every chance they get just to sell their beloved flu shots. They NEED people to stick the shot with or else they will lose money.
Good. It will serve them right.
They have to realize that what they are doing is NOT good for our bodies! Here's the problem: They say they want to HELP the people, and their intentions are probably genuine (let's hope) HOWEVER there is a major flaw in their plans. The crap...uh, I mean medications and inoculations they are supplying the public is filled with serious chemicals that is hurting us. Why can't they see this and correct themselves?!!!

Why can't they own up to everything that they are doing and just HELP us for real?

So, for now....don't give in and get the shot and don't inundate your body with a lot of nonsensical chemical crap!

September 11 - On Everyone's Mind Forever!

September 11, 2001 is a day that we relive like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Maybe not to the full extent, but on the anniversary of that day the media shows the footage over and over again. As we view this footage, we begin to retrace our footsteps of the morning. Where were we? What were we doing? What were we wearing? Who did we talk to that day? Any regrets? Did we tell our loved ones how much they mean to us?
A day such as that brings so much to the surface. It isn't only a tragic day, but it became an American Feeling Day. A day in which Americans feel and express themselves again...and sympathize with each other.
We get fed off of others expressions and feelings. We begin to feel better and more alive again. The more we open up and share, the more we become human again.
It's an emotional explosive day. As we view those planes careening into the side of the buildings in NYC or in DC, we begin to realize there is much more to life than our restricted daily routines.
We question who we are, and what our purpose is as well.
We begin to WANT to live our lives without regret. We want to love with a greater capacity than we ever could imagine. As we feel strong feelings of love and peace, we also feel strong feelings of hatred to those who committed the acts of violence too.
September 11 is the day of powerful emotions and fills us with much passion - and even inspiration.
Whether it is an official day of remembrance or not, we all reflect upon ourselves, others, and our purpose in this world.
September 11, 2001 - National Day of Reflection and Feeling...whether it is official or not, it has been since that original day.
Bin Laden is a miserable and selfish man, but he gave us insight and restored our human compassion again. There is always good in something...no matter how vile.

Taking in the moment

Seriously, it's amazing! I am driving along in afternoon mid-week traffic wondering why there is so many cars! How did this world accumulate so many people?
Think about this one...in every town, there are at least 100+ cars on the road - in motion. Where are they all going? And why are they in such a hurry? Every driver out there is in a hurry to just GO. Where is it that these people go that requires this much haste?

We need to chill a bit. We need to take time out from being in such a rush. Slow down - because if we don't, then we are only in a hurry to lie in a coffin 6-feet under.

  • Smile and look up at the sky at night. Really LOOK at the stars
  • Take in a deep breath as you look at the stars
  • Consider: Life has always moved on without the rush-rush of your activity...so what is really your hurry?
  • Take a moment and consider where you are in your present - that's exactly where you are supposed to be
Don't be so influenced by those crazed drivers on the road - it's their arteries hardening, not yours!

Facing Phobias or not?

The Today Show was discussing Phobias and how to face them. They said that more women have phobias than men, but this could be because more women are apt to admit their fears; whereas men stuff their fears aloing with any other issue because men are supposed to 'be men' and 'be strong.'
Here's the deal on phobias...
Somewhere in your life you put all your fear on one particular object or animal or insect or activity.
Sometimes it's not necessarily the phobia of that object but the fact that it is easier to put all your fear into one particular thing. You don't know how to deal with the fear at hand so you compartmentalize all your fear into one thing (and in some cases a few things).
The best way to get over a phobia is to be in a relaxed state with someone you love and trust. Then, have someone else who you love and trust bring out the fear you have, in a safe non-threatening way. Whether it is caged, a photo, or a video. This way it can't actually hurt you. Know that it can't hurt you in this way and become acquainted with it in this sort of environment.
Being present and breathing is also key to facing your fear -Not going backward in your thoughts and thinking of past experiences.
Meditation is more than just taking in breaths. It is an awareness of consciousness.
It is the act of deep relaxation.
Deep breathing.
In
Out
Being in touch and being in control of your body on a deeper consciousness.

There is nothing to fear when you know yourself and love yourself. Don't be afraid of yourself.

But, yes, before you realize any of this and before you even begin to practice meditation, phobias can be VERY scary. You will get over it when you get over yourself.
We are always a work in progress. There is nothing shameful in that.

Simply Living

Money and material possessions are the two significant highlights of most people's life. Is this what life is truly about? Is it really about status symbols and what the Jones' have next door?

Some would argue and say, 'what is life without all the bells and whistles.' It's all about Mercedes and BMW's and the latest computer gadget.

But who are they really without all those things? Are we giving up our true selves for what's in our wallet? Have we sold our souls to society?

So, then what's life about then?

Living without debt. Paying for your life freely and simply. Having an extra $20 in your wallet for a week and not having to spend it. Have you just kept a $20 in your wallet for a week without touching it?
Do something that does not require money. Libraries, museums, art shows, antique festivals, bike rides, hikes, walking, meditating...are you getting the picture?
I'm not saying to not have an iPod. I love my iPod and I love using my cell phone. But do I have it run my life? No!

I love my computer. I love techie things. Technology is a part of this age...but it does not have to run our minds and our life! Money does not have to be a constant usage.

Finding Solace

We brave the world everyday, by working and relating to others - whether we want to or not. When you walk into a store, you speak to at least two people. You engage yourself in social dynamics all the time.
By the end of the day, you feel a bit stressed and even a bit tense...

What do you do about it? That's the key.

Unwinding from a day's stimulation is the key to true overall health. Some people tip the bottle, grab a smoke, gamble, shop, overeat - you name it. Some people over exercise. (Yes, it is possible!) Come on people, we live in an addictive society!

So, then how does someone unwind without any of those methods? Find a center of balance within yourself. Go to a place where you feel peaceful. You may drive to the lakeside after work, sit on your bed and shut your eyes, sit on your porch and take in a deep breath - there is a place for everyone.

While you are visiting your tranquil spot, concentrate on your breath for 10 minutes. Listen to yourself inhale and exhale...

You owe yourself 10 minutes a day to do this FREE thing. It's totally free, and it's totally worth your body and your life.

No one can ever take away your spot either. Only you can go there, and only you know where it is that makes you breathe deep - naturally.

Go there.

Breathe.

It's important to create the best life you can for yourself. Your body is an important vehicle - you shouldn't take it for granted. It is your right and responibility to know what enters your body.

The FDA holds a power over us and governs our food and drugs. They control what enters our bodies - at our expense. They sneak in additives and other ingredients to "enhance" the food or because it is cheap, and they do it for those reasons and disregard our health. If something they knew caused cancer, but was a cheaper way of doing something, they would continue with the cancer causing product and hush it up. Does this seem right?

This is going on under your nose.

Here's a double whammy for you. They added mercury to high fructose corn syrup a few years ago, but the corn refiners association and the FDA has silenced this conspiracy up until now. The mercury in high fructose corn syrup can be found in condiments, sodas and even jellies.
Only 1 microgram of mercury is considered lethal. There is also mercury in vaccinations, specifically flu shots. Mercury accumulates in the body/brain and can contribute to dementia.
Sound good to you? You want some high fructose corn syrup? Mercury? Together?
There are more reasons to stay away from high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup contributes to diabetes, tooth decay, heart disease, and obesity.
Do you want any more reasons to stay away from this notorious ingredient that has been inundating our food supply since the mid-1980's?
